Mountain of God, Mount Karkoum in the Negev Desert, regarded by Prof. Emanuel Anati as the true biblical Mount Sinai. Our guide is Seffi Hanegbi, who worked alongside Prof. Anati for 14 years discovering the hidden secrets of the Mount: rock paintings, shrines, and wondrous natural finds.
In the span of a few hours we attempt to identify all the archeological signs pointing to the identity of the mountain as Mount Sinai, and learn about the true significance of this place.
During the journey
Day 1 – DESERT HOSPITALITY: Group welcome to"Zman Midbar" Desert Ecological Spiritual Center for Peace at outpost during the afternoon hours. On our windswept cliffs, guests cross the threshold to the expansive space and rhythmic life of the desert, enjoying refreshing drinks and magnificent Dead Sea, and The Judean Desert.
After sunset, they congregate in the Tea House for “Abraham-style hospitality” rituals, and a satisfying desert-style dinner. Over dessert, our knowledgeable hosts will fascinate them with biblical anecdotes and lively discussions about Moses, and the Children of Israel’s journey to the Mount of G-d. Guests retire as desert dwellers, nestled in the mountaintops and under the starry expanse as have innumerable travellers for thousands of years.
(Communal lodging for the night in "Zman Midbar" on comfortable mattresses. Hot showers and restrooms are next to the Tea House.)
Day 2- EXPLORING THE DESERT: Guests arise to a magnificent sunrise and enjoy an ample breakfast
After breakfest, we transfer to desert vehicles, heading towards Tel Arad, where the Israelis pass along there journey, Ramon Creater Then the steady drive (2.5 hours) to our objective of Mt. Karkom, where (according to the theory of Professor E. Anati], the Nation of Israel received the Ten Commandments. (Exodus 18)
We camp at the foot of the mystical mountain, amidst unexplainable signs of worships spanning thousands of years. Guests enjoy prepararation of authentic 'fatirey' (pita baked on open fires) for our plentiful outdoor dinner. Afterwards we sip fragrant tea, in animated discussion with experts on various theories of the Exodus from Egypt.

Day 3 –CLIMBING THE "MOUNTAIN OF G-D": In the morning, after tea and a light breakfast, the group sets out for the day on a dynamic 6-8 hour walking excursion to the top of the Mount Harkom. Excitement builds with each evidence of ancient cultures and rock engravings along the route, as well as the Biblical site of the cleft of Moses (Exodus 33) , and the 12 pillars altar built by Moses (Exodus 34).
(Ample water, breakfast and lunch will be provided.)
Transfers: At the conclusion of the excursion, our desert vehicles will bring the travellers back to Mitzpe-Ramon or Bear Sheva, or Back to "Zman Midbar"
